Can you explain the “Refer-A-Friend” promotion?

Under the revised “Refer-A-Friend” program, all new subscribers of trueroots or existing subscribers can refer 1 or more friends for trueroots subscription.  With each sign-up, both referrer & referee get 50 minutes talk time free using local access number.

With “Refer-A-Friend”, trueroots customers now have an opportunity to earn free talk time by referring friends & family in the US, UK & Canada & encourage them to subscribe to trueroots International Calling Service in their respective countries..

For example

a) Should a new or existing subscribe refer 1 friend, then on sign-up, both the referrer (i.e existing trueroots subscriber) & the referee (new sign up) get 50 minutes free talk time each using local access number.
b) If a new or existing subscriber refers 3 friends & all 3 sign up for trueroots membership, then
- for each sign up, referrer gets 50 minutes free talk time using local access number on sign up/ registration by referee
- total no of  FREE minutes for 3 sign-ups = 50 x 3 = 150 minutes
- Whereas the new referees who sign up, get only 50 minutes FREE talk time EACH on registration using local access number.
Further more, your friends & family who sign up for  trueroots, also get a chance to participate in this program and earn benefits for themselves & their referees

2. How can I refer a friend/family?

Once the acquaintance details are updated, it cannot be changed or deleted.  Customer in US, UK or Canada will not be able to refer or update their acquaintance details through customer care.

3. Which customers can refer family/friend?

All existing & new subscribes of trueroots are eligible to participate in this promotion.

4. How many people can I refer?

There is no limit to the number of people you can refer. 

5. Can I refer family/friend residing in other countries?

You can only refer people residing in US, UK & Canada, as our services are currently available in these countries.

6. Can I refer myself (USA Customer/ UK/ Canada customer)?

No, we urge you to use this promotion to refer trueroots to your family & friends in the US, UK or Canada.

7. For how long is this referral program valid?

The “Refer-A-Friend” program is valid from 11th Jan 2010 at 09:00 a.m. eastern time. to 31st December 2010 at 09:00 a.m. eastern time.

8. How will I know if the free minutes have been credited to my account?

You will receive an email informing you about the same.  You can also check the status on My Account

9. Can I use this free talktime value to call any country?

Yes. You can utilize this free talk time value to call any country of your choice.  Kindly note that the calling rate varies with each country.  We request you to kindly refer to our website for rate details www.trueroots.co.uk, www.trueroots.us, www.trueroots.ca.

10. Can I edit the details for one of my acquaintance?

Sorry, once submitted you will not be allowed to change or edit the details of your acquaintance. Hence we request you to check the details thoroughly before submitting the request.

11. How will I get to know if the acquaintance I referred has signed up?

You will receive an e-mail from trueroots when each of your references sign up for trueroots.  You could also check the status on My account

13. Can my friends/ family sign up by calling customer care?

Sorry, the sign up cannot happen through the customer care centre.
They must sign up for trueroots using the link received in email communication & provide the invitation code mentioned therein.. This will also enable you get your 50 free minutes talk time using local access number with each sign up.

14. I have referred one of my friends and on the other hand some other friend has also referred him, who will get the benefit?

In this case, your friend will receive two mails along with 2 different invitation codes. Depending on the code used by your friend at the time of registering for trueroots,   the respective referrer will get the benefit.

15. How will the free benefit information reflect in my prepaid account?

The additional free minutes benefit information will reflect in the My Account page.

16. My friend is an existing trueroots customer. Can I still refer him?

No.

17. I have been referred by a friend; Do I get any benefit when I register with trueroots?

Yes. On subscribing to trueroots, you will also receive additional 50 minutes FREE talk time using local access number
Also as a trueroots customer, you get a chance to participate in this program, refer your friends & family in the US, UK & Canada & earn free talk time.

For example

18. What is the minimum amount with which one needs to sign up?

You can sign up for trueroots, by selecting any one of the plans available in your country.

19. I received an email for the referral program but the same got deleted, Can I still subscribe to trueroots?

You can still subscribe to trueroots.  However, without details of promo code, you & your friend will not be able to avail of the 50 additional free minutes using local access number.

20. I am not able to register through the provided link. Can I call the customer care for the same?

Ideally the registration has to be done through the link received by you in your email.  However if you are unable to use the link and register, you can visit our website www.trueroots.co.uk, www.trueroots.us, OR www.trueroots.ca & register using your unique promo code to avail of the benefits of this offer.
